ABOUT

Consumed by red Performance by contemporary artist Thyme James

Thyme James (b. 1996) is a Glasgow based interdisciplinary artist working across painting, printmaking, and performance. She is drawn to the tactile nature of these mediums, specifically the way in which they are able to capture every touch of human interaction with the work, and the human form, using the body as subject, tool, and, medium. Thyme’s current interest lies in the human condition within the contemporary digital age, exploring concerns of perception, gender, interaction & inclusivity, with the intention of evoking conversation and encouraging people to question and reconsider the society around us.
